3 ways to get behind Movember at work

Support men’s health at work this November by getting amongst Movember — here are some ideas from the Movember team.

It’s that time of year again! Movember, the month where moustaches make a big comeback for a great cause. Movember is chance to show your support for men’s mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. These causes are more important than ever and we can all play a part in raising awareness and funds.

Here are a few ideas from the crew at Movember to inspire you to bring Movember to your workplace in 2023. You can sign up for these events on the Movember website (NZ or AU). 

1. Grow a mo 

Show your support for men’s health by growing a moustache (if you can!) throughout the month of November. As the team at Movember says, “whatever you grow will save a bro”. Every hair counts!

2. Host a mo-ment

Get a group together (virtual or in-person) to acknowledge Movember and raise some funds. Host any mo-ment that works for you and your workplace – be that sharing a meal, virtual trivia, or a special social club event. The options are endless! 

3. Move for Movember

Another way to support Movember is to run or walk 60km over the course of the month. Why 60km? Tragically, we lose 60 men to suicide every hour around the world. Moving for Movember can make a huge difference.
